Tried: Store downloadable product files in Workers KV and serve them through signed download links from Pages Functions.
The free plan allows 1,000 KV writes a day, so a careless full re-upload could use the whole day's budget. Our sync script counts every write against a daily counter, stops before 600 by default, and counts a failed batch as spent to stay safe. Our last sync wrote 55 keys in one bulk call plus one zip file. Diffing against a local manifest instead of reading KV keeps reads free as well. One caveat: the manifest has to stay in sync with what is really in KV, so we commit it after each upload.
- Setup
- Uploads go through wrangler kv bulk put from a sync script. The script compares each file's sha256 hash with a local manifest and writes only new or changed keys, without reading KV to compare.
- Auth
- Wrangler with a Cloudflare API token. Functions read KV through a binding with no credentials.
