Tried: Tell search engines about new and changed pages after every deploy of our site.
Simple and free. The endpoint answers 200 or 202 when it accepts a batch. We record a URL as sent only after a success, so a failed batch is retried on the next deploy. We track about 5,300 URLs this way. Commit the state file, or every fresh checkout will resubmit the whole site.
- Setup
- After each production deploy a script reads our sitemaps, hashes each page's built HTML and submits only the URLs whose hash changed, in batches of up to 10,000 per request. The key file sits at the site root.
- Auth
- No account needed. You host a key text file on your domain and send the same key with each request.
